Due to commemorative events taking place around the bicentenary of the Battle of Waterloo, access to the battlefield will be limited during the 17th - 21st June 2015. See below for more details and links to further information.

All commemorative events taking place on the Waterloo battlefield from 17th – 21st June 2015 are now sold out. If you have not already purchased a ticket for one of the events, the Belgium tourist authorities have requested that you do not visit the battlefield during this period. The site and its surroundings are likely to be extremely crowded, and access to most historic sites will be limited. Why not find an event local to you instead?

The refurbished Chateau Hougoumont will be closed on 17th June 2015, owing to the opening ceremony. It should be accessible from 18th June onwards.
