Why not visit the Museum of the Manchester Regiment in Ashton-under-Lyne’s impressive Victorian town hall. The museum is in easy walking distance of both the bus and railway stations and there is ample public parking in the town centre also.

If you are a wheelchair user or have a buggy there is access to all the museums’s galleries by use of a lift from the ground floor where there are also baby changing facilities. The museum also has a small shop from where you can buy a souvenir. The museum does not have a cafe there are many places to find refreshments near to the museum.

There are lots of activities in the museum for you and your family and friends to try as well as thousands of objects that reflect the experiences of Manchester Regiment soldiers through the ages for you to look at and enjoy.

Please be aware that the curator works at many sites and may not be available at the Museum if you visit without an appointment to speak with him.
