Serjeant Gibimagesson and I were pleased to attend the Memorial Service on Tuesday last for the 8th Duke of Wellington at the Guards Chapel in Wellington Barracks. It was an excellent service attended by almost the entire Royal Family including the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh. This is a reflection of the esteem he Duke was held by the Queen and Royal Family. Prince Hassan of Jordan gave the address  which not only reflects The Duke’s friendship but also the Duke’s years of active service in The Middle East and his fascination with the Levant. There was a drinks party afterwards in Apsley House which was packed.  Serjeant Gibson found it hard to get a drink!
