20150620_145455 (2)Serjeant Gibson and I were at Canterbury Cathedral to see the arrival of the captured eagles from Waterloo, after a moving service at Canterbury Cathedral. We had previously seen the arrival of the Dispatch and these same eagles at Broadstairs with Major Henry Percy and Captain (Royal Navy ) James White of HMS Peruvian. They looked exhausted but they proclaimed the “Great Victory” and went on their way to London. It was an exciting event which Sergeant Gibson appreciated enormously whilst still nursing his wound from the Battle at Quatre Bras.
