Bankfield Museum

With its internationally important collection of textiles, weird and wonderful objects from around the world, and a varied programme of exhibitions and events, there is much to see and enjoy.

The historic house of the Akroyd family is also home to the Duke of Wellington’s Regimental Museum.

From May 2019 Bankfield Museum will also be home to the Fashion Gallery, showcasing our extensive collection of costume and textiles from ancient Egypt to the 20th century.
