A new film drama is being developed by filmmaker Blake Sporne that takes The Battle of Waterloo as the backdrop to a story that explores friendship, loyalty and family ties in times of extreme peril.
Developed with screenplay writer Ross Owen Williams, Producer Sporne has made a sumptuously filmed proof of concept for the new film, called A Near Run Thing, which follows the fortunes of cavalry officer Captain Howard Lynch – a man whose sense of honour is tested – just as Napoleon threatens to bring Europe to it’s knees.
Meticulously researched and developed using the expertise of Napoleonic period historians, the team behind the project are now actively searching for representation and executive producers who wish to collaborate or join them in developing the feature film.
