Once students have completed their enquiry on the different factors which drove changes in medical practice during the Age of Revolution, they can use all their notes and their causal diagram to complete at least one of the tasks below:

  1. Plan and write an answer to this essay question. Think about how you will deal with the different factors you have covered in this enquiry and how you will construct a persuasive argument.
‘War was the most important cause of change in medical practice during the Age of Revolution.’ How far do you agree with this statement?
  2. Write a script for a podcast discussion on changes in medicine during the Age of Revolution. What changes will be the most important to include? How will you ensure that you use accurate and relevant information in your script?
  3. Produce another ‘object video’ for the Age of Revolution website. Choose an object you think would be interesting. Write the script and film an informative video. How will you make the video historically accurate while also being engaging for your audience?
